My love of the German Shepherd Dog started in 1971 when a beautiful gentle female came into our family. A 7-1/2 week old German Shepherd puppy was purchased for our son. He named her Komo. It was not long before I realized the German Shepherd Dog is a special breed. Their beauty, loyalty, intelligence, and gentleness surpassed by none other. I found that this is the breed I want to share my life with. It is now 30 years later, and I am still in love with these wonderful dogs.

My husband and I live in Southern Oregon. Rich in natural beauty, this area is where the famous Rogue River flows, abundant with wildlife. Sportsmen enjoy white-water rafting, salmon, and steelhead fishing. Several movies have been filmed here, including “A River Wild” with Meryl Streep. The valley is home to some of Oregon’s finest wineries and is now the home of “Rock Shadow Shepherds”.

We are a small breeder, focused on quality. We selectively breed our dogs for correct structure, health, sound temperament, and of course, beauty.

My goal is to better this breed and make your life and mine better by knowing one of these magnificent dogs: THE GERMAN SHEPHERD.
